Official rules & privacy

Something Else Skateboards — S.E. Deck Giveaway
Rules version 2026-10-17-v1. No purchase or payment is necessary. Buying anything does not improve the odds. Void where prohibited.

1. Sponsor and eligibility

Sponsored and administered by Something Else Skateboards. Contact: Somethingelsemailer@gmail.com. Open to natural persons who are legal residents of the 50 United States or District of Columbia and at least 18 years old at entry. The sponsor, promotion administrators, their immediate families, and members of their households are not eligible. One person may use one account and one contact email to participate. Eligibility is verified before a prize is awarded.

2. Entry period

Opens October 17, 2026, at 11:40 a.m. and closes December 1, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m., America/Phoenix (Arizona, UTC−7). The server clock determines receipt. Profiles must exist and clips must be successfully received by the closing time; upload attempts still in progress at closing do not count. Reviews may finish after closing.

3. Entering and entry limits

Sign in and complete the giveaway form, accepting these rules and confirming eligibility. Signing in alone does not enter you. A public rider profile saved by closing earns one entry after enrollment; an existing profile also qualifies. Each eligible original video clip submitted during the entry period with the giveaway option selected earns one entry after approval, with a maximum of five clip entries. A clip must show a distinct skate moment, be your original footage or footage you have permission to submit, and identify the correct public skate location. Confirm consent from identifiable participants. Do not trespass, disclose private locations, or take risks to obtain an entry. Skill and trick difficulty do not affect odds.

Photos, résumé records, duplicate or stolen footage, multiple crops or fragments of the same skate moment, spam, automated entries, and multiple accounts do not earn extra entries. Review checks eligibility and content rights, not skating ability. Pending qualifying clips will be reviewed before the drawing. Rejected submissions do not earn entries.

Equal free route: Select the free-route checkbox on the entry form, or the “Get six entries without uploads” button after entering, before closing. This grants the same six-entry maximum without a public profile, footage, purchase, subscription, or marketing consent. It tops up your existing entries to six; it does not add six on top of them. All entries share one pool and equal per-entry odds. Maximum six entries per person across all routes. False eligibility statements, bots, or intentional duplicate-account entries may result in disqualification with a documented reason.

4. Prize and delivery

One winner receives one new Something Else skateboard deck, choosing an available Something Else graphic and width from the deck catalog at award time. Estimated retail value: approximately $75; actual value depends on selection. Deck only: trucks, wheels, bearings, grip, accessories, cash, and the Pokémon/Santa Cruz blind-bag decks are not included. Something Else covers standard shipping to the winner’s address in the 50 United States or D.C. No payment is required to claim or receive the prize. If a chosen graphic or size is unavailable, the winner may choose another available S.E. deck. No cash alternative or transfer. Any legally applicable taxes are the winner’s responsibility. Delivery is arranged after eligibility and the shipping address are verified; the sponsor will provide the production/shipping estimate when the winner chooses a deck.

5. Selection, notification and alternates

After closing and review of all eligible pending clips, a random weighted drawing is planned for December 4, 2026, no earlier than 11 a.m. Arizona time. Each valid entry has an equal chance; odds depend on the total valid entries received. The system saves the entry snapshot and random alternate order once, without rerolling. The administrator verifies the selected candidate’s identity, age, residency, and entry limit and contacts them using the private account email. Never pay a fee to claim this prize.

The initial candidate announcement is planned for December 4. An unverified candidate is not a confirmed winner. If verification or response is pending, the page will show that status rather than naming a confirmed winner. Allow seven calendar days after contact to respond. If a candidate is ineligible, declines, or does not respond within seven days after contact, the next eligible person in the saved alternate order may be contacted; the reason is recorded. A confirmed winner’s chosen display name and state appear on this page. If there are no valid entries, no winner can be selected.

6. Privacy and footage

The giveaway stores your verified account identifier and contact email, chosen display name, state, eligibility confirmations, rules version, time of entry, entry route, moderation outcomes, and drawing record to administer the promotion and prevent duplicate entries. Contact email and account identifiers are visible only to the authorized administrator and are not published. No full birth date or shipping address is requested at entry. Shipping details are requested privately only from the selected candidate. Entry is not consent to marketing emails.

A public rider profile and approved uploads are visible under the rider platform’s normal publication choices. You keep ownership of your footage; entering does not grant an additional advertising or commercial reuse license. The giveaway record is retained for administration and dispute handling. Contact the sponsor to request access, correction, withdrawal, or deletion; withdrawing before the drawing removes the entries. The sponsor may need to retain a limited draw/audit record. Never include sensitive personal information in a public profile or clip.

7. Administration

Keep your own copy of uploaded footage. The sponsor is not responsible for entries not received because of connection failures or incomplete uploads. If a material technical issue or fraud prevents a fair promotion, the sponsor will post a notice explaining any necessary correction or extension, preserving valid entries and equal treatment. There is no minimum purchase, sales target, or minimum entry count. Questions and disputes should be sent to the sponsor’s contact email. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Google, OpenAI, Pokémon, or Santa Cruz.
